The Rev. Jason Bricker-Thompson 

Jason graduated from Hiram College with a B.A. in Religious Studies and Vanderbilt Divinity School with a Masters in Divinity.  He served in ministry to youth and families at Kent UCC, was a College Chaplain and Dir. of Community Service and Service Learning at Hiram College, and worked as an Educational Director at Heifer International's Overlook Farm teaching about their mission to end world hunger and care for the earth. 


Jason met his wife Monica at Hiram House Camp when they both worked there.  They have two daughters (Eileen  and Hannah) and have been foster parents.  Jason has served on the boards of the Cleveland Christian Home, Little Village Early Learning Center, and Hiram Farm.  He was called to serve at Community Church of Chesterland in the fall of 2015.  He was very excited to join an energetic, welcoming and theologically progressive community of faith.

Ted Rood

Ted leads the music program at Community Church which includes an adult choir, bell choir and periodic performances by the youth.  He is also an incredible vocalist who regularly shares his voice with us leading hymns or singing solos.  He is also a Steelers fan.  


Ted is the Vocal Music and Drama Teacher at Cleveland Heights-University Heights City School District. He periodically performs in local theatre groups.

Ted received his training at the West Virginia University.


He welcomes vocalists of all levels to join the choir at Community Church of Chesterland.


Kate Lasco 

Kate accompanies worship on piano and occasionally sings in services.  She has been a much welcomed addition to our music ministry with fantastic piano and vocal talent.  


Kate is currently a Piano student at Cuyahoga Community College's Jazz Studies Program and is studying voice instruction at the Cleveland Institute of Music.  She also studied Classical and Jazz Piano at the Ohio University School of Music.  She is a life long member of the UCC Church and comes to us most recently from Burton UCC.  


Rebekah Jean Kane 
Rebekah Jean is an original songwriter. She cut her professional musician teeth playing in a couple of touring bands during and after college, finally releasing her first solo album of original songs in January 2012. Rebekah Jean has composed a wealth of new material and garnered a host of fans in her home Northeast Ohio as well as regionally. In addition to plotting her second album of original songs, her current pet project is co-fronting Classic Country outfit "Duchess."  

Rebekah is a regular guest musician at Community Church bringing musical diversity and her incredible voice and guitar play to worship.
Thaddeus Quintin 
While attending Aurora High School, Thaddeus played saxophone, studied piano, played Handbells in a youth handbell choir at his church, and learned to play the tin whistle and harmonica while on Boy Scout trips. During his time in college, Thaddeus also learned to play guitar, which he played in bands at Ohio State University and Ohio University.

Thaddeus graduated with a degree in Computer Science from Ohio University in 2003 and returned to the Cleveland area. He and his wife, Dorothy, moved to Chagrin Falls and were married that fall.  He took over directing duties of the Bell Choir at Federated Church, UCC, in  2005 and later welcomed two sons, Westley and Milo, into his family.

Thaddeus is a guest musician at CCC, bringing guitar and diversity of music, including songs from various cultures and languages into our worship.  We enjoy all that Thaddeus brings and shares with us in worship.
